Two appointments, so we have time to understand the whole picture before we give you an answer.

Fit check and booking
A short fit check shows whether this pathway suits you. Then you book, and you complete questionnaires before your visit.

First visit, in person
A 60-minute appointment with Dr Saini at West Pennant Hills. Bring any school reports or past reports you have.

Review
We look at your childhood, how life is now, and other things that could explain your symptoms.

Feedback visit
About 3 to 4 weeks later we explain what we found. You receive a written outcome and plan.
An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis or any particular treatment. Missing records should not stop you booking.

How much does an adult ADHD assessment cost at Rosedale?
The complete two-appointment adult ADHD assessment pathway is $1,202.45, including the $2.45 booking fee. That covers the 60 minute first visit and the feedback visit. Our fees page has the full list.
Can a GP diagnose adult ADHD in Sydney?
Yes. GPs endorsed by NSW Health in NSW can assess and diagnose ADHD in adults. Dr Jaspreet Saini holds NSW Health endorsement (since September 2026) and is assessing adults in West Pennant Hills now. Endorsed GP assessments at Rosedale are available now. You can check any GP's endorsement on the ACI prescriber map (NSW Health). Our NSW reforms page explains who can do what.
Do I need a psychiatrist to get an ADHD diagnosis in NSW?
Not always. An endorsed GP can assess and diagnose adults in NSW, so you do not need to see a psychiatrist first. If your situation is complex or the diagnosis is unclear, we may suggest a psychiatrist or another clinician and explain why. You do not need a referral to book with us.
How long does an ADHD assessment take?
There are two appointments. The first is a 60-minute visit in person at West Pennant Hills. You return about 3 to 4 weeks later for feedback and your written outcome. The wait for a first appointment can vary, and our booking page or fit check shows what is currently available.
What happens after the assessment?
At the feedback visit we explain what we found, whether or not ADHD fits, and what we suggest next. If ADHD is diagnosed, we talk through a plan with you, which may include treatment, psychology, sleep and lifestyle support. If it is not ADHD, you still get a clear explanation and next steps. A diagnosis does not guarantee any particular treatment.
