Bulk-Billed Ultrasound
Now Available On-Site
We’ve partnered with View Medical Imaging to bring expert diagnostic imaging directly to our West Pennant Hills clinic โ no out-of-pocket cost, no travel, no separate referral pathway.
Why We Chose View Medical Imaging
View Medical Imaging is an independent, locally owned imaging provider operating across the Hills District and Upper North Shore. They’re not a corporate chain. They’re built around a single commitment โ expert diagnostics in a setting that doesn’t feel cold or clinical.
Their lead sonographer, Fady, brings over 20 years of experience and has built a trusted reputation at practices including Beecroft GP, Pennant Hills Medical Centre, and Cherrybrook Medical Centre.
That reputation โ professional, warm, and precise โ is why we partnered with them. It matches how we do care at Rosedale.

What You Need to Know
Do I need a referral?
Yes. A valid referral is required for bulk-billing to apply. Referrals are accepted from any GP, specialist, or allied health professional โ not just Rosedale clinicians. If you need one, your Rosedale GP can provide it at your next appointment.
Is it completely bulk-billed?
Yes, for eligible Medicare card holders with a valid referral. No gap, no out-of-pocket cost. If you’re unsure about eligibility, call reception before your appointment.
How do I prepare for my scan?
Preparation depends on the scan type. For abdominal ultrasounds, you’ll typically need to fast for 4โ6 hours beforehand. Your referring clinician and our reception team will give you specific instructions when you book.
When will my referring clinician get the results?
View Medical Imaging provides next-day reporting. Results are sent directly to whoever referred you โ your GP, specialist, or allied health provider โ who will follow up with you as needed.
Is ultrasound safe?
Yes. Ultrasound is completely safe for all ages. It uses sound waves โ not radiation โ making it ideal for routine diagnostic imaging.
I already have a referral from another clinician โ can I still book?
Absolutely. Referrals from any GP, specialist, or allied health professional are accepted. Call our reception team and we’ll get you booked into the next available Tuesday morning slot.
