A full 4Cyte Pathology collection centre inside Rosedale at 70 Castle Hill Road. Open six days a week, no appointment needed for most tests, and bulk billed with a valid Medicare card and referral.
Blood, urine, swabs, ECG, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure, glucose tolerance, NIPT and paediatric collections. All referrals accepted, including from GPs and specialists outside Rosedale.

Common questions before your visit
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed for most tests. Walk in during opening hours with your referral. A small number of specialised tests, such as glucose tolerance and Holter monitoring, need to be booked ahead. Call 4Cyte on 13 42 98 if you're unsure.
Do I need to be a Rosedale patient?
No. 4Cyte at Rosedale accepts referrals from any GP, specialist or allied health professional, even if you've never visited Rosedale before.
Is it bulk billed?
Most tests are bulk billed with a valid Medicare card and referral. A small number, such as some genomic or non-rebated tests, may have an out-of-pocket cost. 4Cyte will let you know at collection if a fee applies.
Do I need to fast?
Some tests do, usually for 8 to 12 hours. Common fasting tests include lipids, glucose tolerance and fasting insulin. Your referring clinician will tell you. When in doubt, fast and come first thing in the morning.
How long do results take?
Standard pathology takes 1 to 3 working days. NIPT takes around 7 to 10 days and pharmacogenomic testing around 2 to 3 weeks. Results go directly to your referring clinician.
Are Saturdays really open?
Yes, 8am to 12pm every Saturday. Walk in, same as weekdays.
Can children get blood tests here?
Yes. 4Cyte's collection staff are experienced with children. Bring a support person if it helps, along with a distraction and a snack for afterwards.
Who do I contact about billing or results?
4Cyte directly, on 13 42 98. They handle all pathology billing and result delivery. Rosedale reception can't access pathology accounts.
