Our Fees
Rosedale Medical Practice is a private-billing practice. A gap fee applies to all consultations. Payment is required at the time of your visit.
We can process your Medicare rebate electronically at the time of payment – most patients receive their rebate within 24 hours.

The following doctors operate under a mixed billing model. Eligible patients, including children aged 4 and under, Pension Card holders, and DVA Gold Card holders – may be bulk billed for standard consultations.

Procedures and Skin-Related Services

If during a skin check or spot check your doctor recommends a biopsy or procedure, extra fees will apply. We’ll always provide an estimate before going ahead.

For pensioners or DVA cardholders, bulk billing may apply for the consult; however, gap fees will apply for the procedure components.

For other minor surgeries (outside of skin cancer), fees typically range between $150-$350, plus a $40 consumables fee for anaesthetic, sterile materials etc.

WorkCover or Traffic Accident Commission (TAC) Claims
If you’re under WorkCover or TAC, here’s how it works:

Before your claim is approved, payment of fees is required at the time of the appointment.

Once your claim is accepted, we can direct-bill eligible services to your insurer.

We’ll give you a detailed receipt so you can claim back what’s reimbursable.
Not sure of your claim status? Just ask our reception — we’ll walk you through it.
Bulk Billing
We bulk bill – no out-of-pocket cost – for:
- Children aged 4 and under with a valid Medicare card
- Current Pension Card holders
- DVA Gold Card holders
If you are experiencing genuine financial hardship, please speak with our practice manager.
Cancellation, Payments and Billing

If you need to cancel, please give at least 4 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled consultation.

We accept multiple payment methods: cash, EFTPOS, credit/debit cards (including AMEX and Diners). Some card types may have surcharges.

Consultation fees are due at the time of your appointment.

Unpaid accounts incur a $27 administration fee, and future bookings may be held until balances are cleared.
