Excellence in General Practice Training
GP Registrars at Rosedale Medical Practice
What is a GP Registrar?
GP registrars spend between six months and two years working in accredited general practices, under the supervision and guidance of experienced GPs. They also attend regular educational sessions and workshops and prepare for their final exams to obtain their fellowship and become fully qualified GPs.
What Does This Mean For Patients?
I am a GP Registrar. Why Would I Choose Rosedale Medical Practice?
As a GP Registrar at Rosedale Medical Practice, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage a variety of acute and chronic conditions, as well as preventive health care, across all age groups and cultural backgrounds.
- Develop skills in minor procedures, such as skin excisions, suturing, wound care and ear syringing.
- Learn from our experienced GPs who have special interests and expertise in areas such as women’s health, mental health, paediatrics, geriatrics, dermatology, palliative care, travel medicine, sports medicine and mental health.
- Participate in regular case discussions, clinical audits, and feedback sessions with your supervisor.
- Enjoy a flexible and supportive work environment that respects work-life balance, special interests and professional goals.
We value the continuity of the relationship between patients and clinicians, and we also encourage the diversity and breadth of training, skills and experience for GPs. We are delighted to support GP Registrars who wish to continue working with us for further placements, or after they finish their GP Training.
