Clear fees.
Your gap upfront.
Rosedale is a private-billing practice with selective bulk-billing arrangements, and we publish every gap fee upfront.
Note on bulk billing: Dr Saini, Dr Paul and Dr Jenkins privately bill all patients — including children, Pension Card holders and concession cardholders. DVA Gold Card holders are bulk billed by all doctors.
Note on Saturday billing: From 1 July 2026, Saturday consultations for children and Pension Card holders are privately billed, regardless of your usual doctor's billing arrangement. This does not affect DVA Gold Card holders, who continue to be bulk billed by all doctors, every day. We're pleased to keep our doors open on Saturdays for your convenience.
Payment is due at the time of consultation. We process your Medicare rebate electronically, and most patients receive it within 24 hours.

Our billing models, by doctor.
Each Rosedale GP follows one of two billing models. Here's how to find yours.

ADHD Continuation Care →Skin checks & minor surgery
If a biopsy or procedure is recommended during a skin check, additional fees apply. We'll always provide an estimate before going ahead.

Other minor surgeries (outside of skin cancer) typically range $150 to $350, plus a $40 consumables fee for anaesthetic and sterile materials.

- Children aged 4 and under with a valid Medicare card.
- Children aged 16 and under (GP Registrars only).
- Current Pension Card holders.
Saturdays: From 1 July 2026, these bulk-billing concessions for children and Pension Card holders apply Monday to Friday only; on Saturdays these patients are privately billed. DVA Gold Card holders continue to be bulk billed every day, including Saturdays.

Your out-of-pocket has a ceiling.
If you see us often, Medicare's Safety Net means your costs don't keep climbing all year. Once your gap payments reach a yearly threshold, Medicare covers most of what follows. See where you'd land.
Estimated out-of-pocket this year
You're about $1,500 in gap costs away from the Medicare Safety Net this year.
Your gaps this year: $1,199
How it works: the Extended Medicare Safety Net counts the out-of-pocket gaps you pay across all out-of-hospital Medicare services in a calendar year, not just at Rosedale. Once your gaps reach the threshold, Medicare pays back 80% of further gaps for standard GP consultations for the rest of the year. The "other medical gaps" slider lets you include costs from other doctors, scans, and tests that also count.
2026 thresholds: $834.50 for concession card and Family Tax Benefit Part A holders, $2,699.10 for everyone else. Couples and families can combine their gaps once registered with Services Australia, which reaches the threshold sooner. Thresholds are indexed each January.
This is a general estimate to help you plan, not financial advice. Some procedures carry Medicare benefit caps. For your exact position, check your safety net balance in your myGov account or speak with our reception.
Fees, answered plainly.
The questions we hear most about private billing. If yours isn't here, reception is happy to walk you through it before you book.
Still not sure?
Call us and we'll work out the right GP and the exact cost for your situation, before you commit to anything.
Reception 02 9680 9644Why does Rosedale charge privately when other local practices bulk bill?
Private billing funds the things that bulk-billing clinics structurally can't afford: longer appointments, the same GP every visit, on-site pathology and imaging, and allied health that's integrated with your GP care rather than referred away. The gap fee is what makes that model possible.
How quickly do I get my Medicare rebate back?
We process your rebate electronically at the time of payment. Most patients see it back in their account within 24 hours.
I'm on a pension or health care card. Do I still pay a gap?
It depends on your doctor. Dr Jaspreet Saini, Dr Natasha Paul and Dr Donna Jenkins privately bill all patients — including children, Pension Card holders, and concession cardholders. The one exception is DVA Gold Card holders, who are bulk billed by all Rosedale doctors, including these three. Dr Chiu and Dr Crampton bulk bill pension cardholders, DVA Gold cardholders, and children four and under. Our GP registrars bulk bill children up to 16. See our billing models below or call reception and we'll help you work it out.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate for a telehealth appointment?
Only if you are an existing patient. Medicare pays a telehealth rebate when you have seen a Rosedale GP or nurse in person at our practice within the last 12 months, or when you are registered with us through MyMedicare. If you have not been seen here in person within the last 12 months, your telehealth consultation is not eligible for a Medicare rebate and the full fee applies. New patients should book their first appointment in person. This is a national Medicare rule, not a Rosedale policy.
Is the gap fee the same for telehealth?
Yes. We charge the same fee whether you're seen in person, by phone, or by video. No discount for telehealth, but no premium either. A Medicare rebate only applies to telehealth if you are an existing patient. See the question above.
