How To Book

You can book your appointment in the way that works best for you:

  • Phone: Call us on 02 9680 9644 if you prefer to book over the phone or need help choosing the right appointment.
  • In person: Our reception team is happy to assist you next time you visit.

Need an interpreter or have accessibility needs? Let us know when booking — we’re happy to assist.

Choosing the Right Appointment Type

We offer different appointment lengths to make sure there’s enough time to give your care the attention it deserves:

  • Standard Appointment (10 minutes)
Best for one or two straightforward concerns — like a script renewal, a single health issue, or a follow-up.
  • Long Appointment (20 minutes)
Recommended for more complex or multiple concerns, mental health care plans, chronic disease management, or if you’d simply like more time to talk things through.
  • Health Assessments, Procedures & Care Plans
Some appointments (like skin checks, immunisations, care plans, or minor procedures) may require extra time. If you’re not sure how long to book, just give us a call — we can guide you.

Telehealth appointments may be available for certain types of consultations. Please ask when booking.

Fees and Medicare Rebates

Most appointments at Rosedale are privately billed. Medicare rebates may apply depending on your eligibility and the type of appointment.

You can find more details on our Fees and Billing page here.
If you have any questions about fees or rebates, our team is happy to talk it through.

How You’ll Know Your Appointment is Confirmed

You’ll receive a confirmation by SMS or email after booking. If you don’t receive a confirmation, please call us to double-check your appointment.

    First Visit: What To Bring

If it’s your first appointment, please bring:

    • Your Medicare card

    • Any concession cards

    • A list of your current medications or relevant health history

This helps your doctor provide the best care possible.

      Arrival and Check In

If it’s your first appointment, please bring:

      • Your Medicare card

      • Any concession cards

      • A list of your current medications or relevant health history

This helps your doctor provide the best care possible.

        Cancellations and Running Late

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee.

If you’re running late, please call us as soon as possible — we’ll do our best to accommodate you, but we may need to reschedule depending on availability.

After Your Appointment – Follow-up and Check Out

To help keep your care on track, we encourage you to book any recommended follow-up appointments when you check out. This helps ensure you’re able to see your preferred doctor at a time that works for you.

Before you leave, please check that you’ve received everything you need from your visit — including any scripts, referrals, or medical certificates.

        Results and Follow-Up Appointments

For your privacy and safety, our reception team and nurses are not able to provide test results unless instructed by your doctor. In most cases, your doctor will recommend booking a follow-up appointment to review results and plan any next steps.

We believe that continuity of care — and a trusted relationship with your GP — leads to better health outcomes. Your doctor is always happy to answer any questions you have along the way.

        Recalls and Reminders

To support your health and wellbeing, we use a recall and reminder system for follow-ups, results, and recommended check-ups.

Some programs (like cervical screening, bowel screening, or mammograms) also send automatic reminders. If you’d prefer not to receive these, please let our reception team know.

        Feedback

We’re always looking for ways to improve and welcome your feedback — whether positive or constructive.

If you feel your needs haven’t been met, are unsure about advice given, or are unhappy with your experience, please let our reception team know. You can also contact our Practice Manager, Amanda, directly at feedback@rosedalesurgery.com.au, or leave a message in the feedback box at reception.

We encourage you to raise any concerns with us first. However, if you’re not satisfied with our response, you may contact:

        • Health Care Complaints Commissioner: 1800 043 159

        • NSW Ombudsman: 1800 451 524
